CHELSEA ARE IN HOT RACE FOR GONZALO HIGUAIN AFTER A DEFEAT AT EMIRATES STADIUM

Maurizio Sarri discussed Chelsea’s interest in signing superstar striker Gonzalo Higuain after Saturday’s Premier League defeat to Arsenal. The Gunners clinched a well-deserved 2-0 victory over their London rivals at the Emirates, with Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny scoring first-half goals. Sarri blasted his team following the defeat and also confirmed Higuain was on Chelsea’s ‘list’ of targets for the January transfer window
. Juventus forward Higuain is expected to travel to London over the next 48 hours to undergo a medical and sign a six-month loan deal with Chelsea. He’s been on the list, but I don’t know how the situation has evolved.’

D issatisfied with the result of the last July 14 governorship election in Ekiti State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Kolapo Olusola, who came second, filed a petition at the Governorship Election Tribunal. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returned the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Dr Kayode Fayemi, as the winner. Fayemi scored 197,459 votes; Olusola, who was Deputy Governor at the time of the election, polled 178,121.
