Photos have emerged from the 80th birthday celebration of the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Bisi Akande.
The governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, who gave the keynote address at the event to commemorate Akande’s birthday on Wednesday, shared photos on his verified Twitter handle.
He tweeted, “Chief Bisi Akande is a most amiable elder statesman who has made immense contributions to our country. I am delighted to join leaders and friends in Ibadan to celebrate his 80th birthday

D issatisfied with the result of the last July 14 governorship election in Ekiti State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Kolapo Olusola, who came second, filed a petition at the Governorship Election Tribunal. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returned the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Dr Kayode Fayemi, as the winner. Fayemi scored 197,459 votes; Olusola, who was Deputy Governor at the time of the election, polled 178,121.
